With a passion for skincare and wellness, I am a certified Medical Esthetician who graduated from Sault College from my esthetician program in 2017.  I expanded my expertise through and continued my education in medical aesthetics and laser technology in Toronto at Looks Aesthetics Academy, enhancing my ability to provide effective treatments tailored to my clients’ needs.

I hold a certification in phlebotomy from CIMT College, allowing me to incorporate advanced techniques into my practice. My commitment to staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies ensures that my clients receive the highest standard of care.

I was one of the first Medical Estheticians in Sault Ste. Marie in 2017 when I started at Laser Advantage. Graduated from the Sault College nursing program in 2003 and began my career in travel nursing, working across various states, including Wisconsin, Michigan, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, and California, as well as living internationally in Croatia. My experience spans multiple specialties, such as ICU, cardiac units, infectious disease, internal medicine, and neurology, allowing me to gain a well-rounded perspective on healthcare. In 2018, I transitioned into medical aesthetics and began my journey at Laser Advantage.

My education and training has not stopped one I started in Medical Aesthetics. I have continued learning from industry leaders in Canada and the United States. I have also attended Master Injector training in Miami, Injector training in Vancouver and New York, Toronto for the Russian Lip technique and Florida for advanced laser and injections training. I’ve been happily married for 20 years, and my spouse and I are raising three children who keep us busy with their passion for hockey. We also have a dog and a bunny, adding joy to our home. When I’m not on the go, I enjoy staying active through CrossFit, yoga, going to the gym, and spending time at our Lakehouse, where I find peace and balance in the midst of a busy life.

After graduating from Sault College’s nursing program, I have been a Registered Nurse (RN) for over 20 years. Since I was introduced to the field of medical aesthetics over a decade ago, my passion for learning about skin health and beauty has driven me to train with top plastic surgeons from across Canada, United States and Europe. Having previously worked at the Sault Area Hospital, my experiences there, combined with my love for aesthetics, inspired me to open the first medspa in Sault Ste. Marie in 2005.

My forward-thinking allowed me to build Laser Advantage MedSpa, which remains the only full-service medspa in the area. I was honoured to be nominated for the RBC Women’s Entrepreneur Award, a recognition given to top women entrepreneurs across Canada.

Nikka is a dedicated and highly trained esthetics professional with a strong foundation in both traditional and medical esthetics. She graduated from the Esthetics program at Sault College in 2023 and went on to earn her Advanced Medical Esthetics Practitioner diploma with honours from St. Clair College in 2024. Her commitment to excellence was recognized with the Faculty Academic Award, an honour presented to one student in each program who demonstrates outstanding academic achievement. Nikka has completed specialized training in Oncology Esthetics with Stogryn, equipping her to provide compassionate care tailored to individuals undergoing cancer treatment. This passion led her to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Ottawa in 2010, followed by a Master’s in Nursing and a Nurse Practitioner Diploma from the University of Toronto in 2016. With over 14 years of health-related experience, Sara has been practicing as a Nurse Practitioner at the Algoma Nurse Practitioner Led Clinic since 2017.

Mariah graduated from the Longo Faculty of Business at Humber College where she completed the two-year diploma in Medical Esthetician & Spa Management in April 2024. Her education equipped her with a strong foundation in business administration, encompassing key areas such as marketing, social media, new business development, human resource management, and essential software applications.

Throughout her studies, Mariah gained hands-on experience in advanced medical esthetic therapies, including Laser and IPL treatments, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, Radio Frequency, LED light therapy and more. In addition, she developed practical skills in various facial and body treatments.
